Which taxes does a Thai company file each month and each year, and what are the deadlines?
2026-10-06

Many owners assume tax is "filed once a year". In fact a Thai company has filings every month, and penalties and surcharges start accruing from the first missed return.

1. Monthly filings (for the previous month)

FormWhat it coversWho filesDeadline (paper / e-filing)
PND.1Personal income tax withheld from salariesCompanies paying salaries7th of next month / usually extended to the 15th
PND.3Withholding tax on service fees, rent etc. paid to individualsWhen such payments are made7th / usually 15th
PND.53Withholding tax on service, freight, advertising fees etc. paid to Thai companiesWhen such payments are made7th / usually 15th
PND.54Withholding tax on service fees, interest, royalties, dividends etc. paid abroadWhen cross-border payments are made7th / usually 15th
PP.36Self-assessed VAT on services bought from abroadWhen foreign services are paid for7th / usually 15th
PP.30VAT returnVAT-registered companies — even with no sales15th / usually extended to the 23rd
Social securityEmployee and employer contributionsCompanies with employees15th of next month

The e-filing extension is announced by the Revenue Department each year; follow the current announcement.

2. Annual filings (financial year ending 31 December)

WhenWhat
By end of FebruaryPND.1 Kor: annual summary of salary withholding
By end of AprilComplete the annual audit and hold the shareholders' meeting to approve the financial statements (within 4 months of year end)
Within 14 days of the meetingFile the shareholder list (BOJ.5) with the DBD
Within 1 month of the meetingFile the audited financial statements with the DBD
By end of MayPND.50: annual corporate income tax return (within 150 days of year end), with audited statements
Within 2 months after the first 6 months (e.g. end of August)PND.51: half-year CIT prepayment

BOI companies also have BOI annual reports and exemption applications on top of this (see What reports must Chinese enterprises with BOI privileges submit every year?).

3. Why manage it as a calendar

The annual items form a chain: if the audit is not finished, the shareholders' meeting cannot be held, and the DBD filing and annual CIT return are both delayed. Start the annual audit as soon as the year closes, not one month before the deadline.

4. Basis and scope of service

Basis: Thai Revenue Code filing deadlines for withholding tax, VAT and corporate income tax; Revenue Department e-filing extension announcements; Civil and Commercial Code and Accounting Act provisions on shareholders' meetings and the audit and filing of financial statements; Social Security Office contribution rules. Actual deadlines follow the current announcements of the Revenue Department, DBD and Social Security Office. Z&X's accounting outsourcing service works from a compliance calendar, and every filing is confirmed by the client first (see How does the service provider make sure the client confirms filings first?).
